Traction provides a framework that supports a range of users to advance adaptation action.

The Traction framework is based on a shared understanding of what enables adaptation action at a range of scales: national, regional and local. It provides a valuable tool for government and non-governmental organisations working on climate action to reflect on adaptation progress that has been made, as a stocktake, and to plan ahead to achieve greater impact. It also provides a means of systematically sharing knowledge across locations and nations, including between the Global North and Global South to increase opportunity for shared learning.

Funding and
Partnership

Traction has been funded by the Scottish Government, and developed by Sniffer and IIED, working in partnership with Stakeholders in Scotland, Malawi and Mozambique.
